UPCOMING FEE CHANGES
From 1 July 2022 we will be implementing a new fee structure for Glenunga Medical Centre:
- Bulk billing will be provided for GP consults from Monday to Friday.
- On weekends, GP consults will attract a gap fee. The gap will be $25 for Level A (brief) or Level B (standard) length consults, $40 for Level C (long) and $50 for Level D (prolonged) consults.
- Charges may be applicable for other services such as dressings, minor surgeries and procedures. Please speak to your GP if you require clarification.
- The above fee structure will apply for both face-to-face and telehealth consults.
GMC COVID POLICY
COVID Vaccinations for 5-11 year olds can be done online. A child/children should only be accompanied by one parent.
We are very much aware that during times of high Community COVID-19 transmission our patients would like to see our doctors for preventive and/or non related COVID-19 health care.
For us to be able to continue to do so, in line with SA guidelines, we would like to remind everyone of the measures we have implemented and ask to please understand and adhere to these to protect our doctors, staff and all our patients
*no walk in allowed – please call us up first and we will assess the risk, the healthcare you need and the appointment type that suits your need. This likewise applies to those who have respiratory like symptoms.
- anyone with any respiratory symptoms or have been to any hotspots, we will be happy to offer you a telehealth consult;
- if you require a care or a support person, this will be limited to one (ex child – one parent)
- No Unnecessary visitors
- mask is mandatory
- use of telehealth, fax, e-script as needed
- social distancing including staying a safe distance from the reception desk, waiting outside or in your car
- provision of hand sanitisers and regular infection control processes
- ensuring all our doctors and staff are fully vaccinated
We ask you to please be patient with our staff. They have been been constantly adapting and navigating the complex changes brought about by COVID-19. You might be asked a lot of questions such as QR code, vaccination status or symptoms. This is for us to assess the transmission risk, triage and make sure we can arrange more measures to protect you and everyone who attends our practice.
“ The whole world is under-staffed. Be kind to those who show up.”
